Main vs Extension

The extension unit does not include a power adapter, controller, or sensor. A dual-link cable is included. It must be connected to a main filter controller to run in sync mode, and both motors advance together when the main sensor triggers. A dual-filter setup is highly recommended for aquariums with two filter chambers, especially systems above 25 gal / 95 L, though a single main filter will still work better than filter socks.
