Main vs Extension

The extension unit does not include a power adapter, controller, or sensor. A dual-link cable is included. It must be connected to a main filter controller to run in sync mode. Dual-filter setup is highly recommended for tanks with two filter chambers, especially tanks above 60 gallons, though a single main filter will still work better than filter socks.

For other openings, you can use the N-Fit Filter Sock Cover to cover the opening and avoid water bypass.

⚠ Fleece Roll WarningPlease do not use third-party fleece rolls. Differences in roll length, width, and thickness can place significantly different loads on the motor. Improper rolls can damage the motor and body, and any resulting damage will void the warranty.
