Key Features

Introduction

The N-Clear Nano Fleece Roller Filter is designed for aquarium enthusiasts who need an

efficient, low-maintenance solution to remove particulate matter and maintain pristine water

conditions. Ideal for both freshwater and marine aquariums, this filter effectively eliminates

suspended solids and organic waste, preventing water quality degradation.

Advanced Fleece Filtration ---- Uses high-density filter fleece to effectively capture particles,

ensuring crystal-clear aquarium water.

Automatic Fleece Replacement ---- When the fleece becomes clogged with debris, the

built-in sensor triggers the motor to roll up the used fleece and replace it with a new section,

ensuring continuous filtration without manual intervention.

Dual Mode ---- Allows two filters to operate in sync using a single controller. When the

sensor on the primary filter is triggered, the motors of both filters activate simultaneously

to roll the fleece.

Quiet Operation ---- Operates with minimal noise, ensuring a peaceful environment.

02

How It Works

Once the sensor is triggered, the motor activates to roll up the dirty filter cloth, lowering the

water level.

When the filter cloth accumulates too much debris, the water flow gradually slows, causing

the water level to rise and triggering the sensor.

As water passes through the filter cloth, debris is filtered out, and clean water flows through

the filter.

Water flows into the filter’s inlet.

Install the filter at the outlet of the all-in-one tank.

The controller provides an intuitive interface and real-time feedback on the filter's operational

status.

POWER (Green)

ON: DC power supply is active and functioning normally.

OFF: No power detected. Check the power connection.

LED Indicators

MODE (Green)

Blinking: High-efficiency mode. The motor operates briefly

after the sensor detects a water level change.

OFF: Normal mode. The motor operates continuously when

the sensor detects water and stops once the level stabilizes.

Controller Operation Guide

ALARM (Red)

ON: System is paused indefinitely.

Blinking: System is paused temporarily and will resume automatically after 30 minutes.

OFF: System is running normally.

MODE

Switch between high-efficiency and normal modes.

MANUAL

Press and hold to manually activate the take-up motor.

PAUSE

Press once: Pause for 30 minutes and resume automatically.

Press twice: Pause indefinitely.

Press three times: Resume normal operation.

14

Controller Operation Guide

Sound Alarms

Motor or Circuit Fault

If a short circuit or other electrical issue occurs, both the mode and alarm indicators will alternate

blinking, accompanied by rapid beeping.

Solution: Disconnect the power supply and contact support to replace or repair the motor.

No Controller Lights

If the controller does not light up when powered, contact support to replace the power adapter

or controller.

Fleece Blockage or Depletion

When the alarm indicator blinks and the buzzer emits an intermittent pattern, check for debris

blocking the fleece or verify if the fleece roll is depleted.

Solution: Replace the fleece and press the pause button three times to reset the alarm.

15

Adjusting Water Level and Sensor Height

The stable operation of the filter depends on several factors. When using it for the first time,

please carefully follow these guidelines and patiently adjust:

Water Barrier

Select the proper water barrier and install it to the inner frame. The top edge of the water

barrier should be level with the lower edge of the chamber outlet, ensuring there are no

gaps. This allows water to flow completely into the roll filter without leaks.

Optimal water barrier height for tanks with a flow deflector.

16

Suboptimal

Best

Adjusting Water Level and Sensor Height

Optimal water barrier height for tanks with a flat chamber inlet.

Sensor Height

The recommended sensor height is 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch above the water level inside the

filter. If the sensor is too low, the fleece will wear out too quickly, leading to waste. If the

sensor is too high, the fleece will never roll, affecting normal operation. You can determine

the correct sensor height by observing how dirty the used fleece appears when rolled up.

17

Suboptimal

Best

Aquarium Water Level

The water level in the aquarium may fluctuate due to evaporation. It is recommended (but

not required) to use an ATO (Auto Top Off) system to help maintain a stable water level.

Pump Flow Rate

The flow rate of the aquarium’s water pump determines the highest water level that can be

reached inside the roll filter. The recommended flow rate for this filter is 100 GPH to 300

GPH.

Adjusting Water Level and Sensor Height

18

Troubleshooting Instructions

If the Fleece Roll Is Used Up Too Quickly

If the used fleece appears whitish rather than a deep yellow or brown, the sensor is likely

positioned too low. Try raising the sensor or adjusting the filter height using the outer case

clip.

If the Fleece Never Rolls

Ensure the pump flow rate is within the recommended range.

Confirm that your aquarium is compatible with this filter and that there are no gaps between

the filter’s inlet and the aquarium’s outlet.

Try lowering the sensor height slightly.

Check if the aquarium water level is too low and needs replenishment.

Clean the sensor.

If the Filter Triggers Alarms Frequently

Try raising the sensor height slightly.

Reduce the flow rate of your pump.

Check if excessive water replenishment has raised the aquarium’s water level too high.

19
